JEE Main is conducted in India by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduates engineering programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions.
Admission to the above institutions is subjected to performance in Class 12/equivalent and JEE Main.
JEE Main is also considered as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).
