    7.0 Buffer Solution

7.0 Buffer Solution
Buffer solutions are the solutions whose $pH$ does not change significantly on adding small quantity of strong base or on little dilution, this does not mean that the $pH$ will not change, what it means is that the $pH$ change would be less than the change that would have occurred had it not been a buffer.

Properties of buffer solution:

a) $pH$ of buffer solution never depends on their concentration and dilution. (water add or escape)

b) When some amount of strong acid and strong base are mixed in buffer solution then $pH$ of buffer solution is almost unchanged.

There are three kinds of buffer solutions.
