2.0 Radio waves
The electromagnetic waves of frequency ranging from a few $kHz$ to a few hundred $MHz$ are known as radio waves.
The various frequency ranges used in radio waves or micro wave communication systems are as follows,
- Medium frequency band (MF) 300 to 3000 $kHz$
- High frequency band (HF) 3 to 30 $MHz$
- Very high frequency band (VHF) 30 to 300 $MHz$
- Ultra high frequency band (UHF) 300 to 3000 $MHz$
- Super high frequency band (SHF) 3000 to 30,000 $MHz$
