A push or pull, which changes or tends to change the state of rest or of uniform motion or direction of motion of any object is called force.
Force is a vector quantity.
It is represented by the symbol $\overrightarrow F $.
Units of force $\left( {\overrightarrow F } \right)$
$MKS$ system: Newton $(N)$ or $kg - m{s^{ - 2}}$
$CGS$ system: Dyne or $g\;cm\;{s^{ - 2}}$
$1\;N = {10^5}\;dyne$
