Isomers are two or more compounds that have same chemical formula but different arrangement of atom. Because of different arrangement of atom they differ in only one or more physical or chemical properties. Two principal types of isomers are known among coordination compounds. Each of which can be further subdivided:

Isomers are divided into two types:

a) Structural isomerism

b) Stereo isomerism
