Chemical Kinetics
2.0 Rate of a chemical reaction
2.0 Rate of a chemical reaction
It is defined as the rate of change of concentration $(c)$ of different chemical species in a reaction with respect to time $(t)$ i.e., $$Rate = \frac{{\Delta c}}{{\Delta t}}$$
As we know that the concentration is measured in $mol/litre$. Therefore, rate of a reaction is measured or the unit of rate of a reaction is $$Rate = \frac{{\Delta c}}{{\Delta t}} = \frac{{mol/litre}}{{time}} = mollitr{e^{ - 1}}tim{e^{ - 1}}$$
