When a charged particle moves through a region of space where both electric and magnetic fields are acting, the net force on the charged particle is equal to the vector sum of the forces exerted by both the fields. Thus net force is.$$\vec F = \vec Eq + q\left( {\vec v \times \vec B} \right)$$This net force is called Lorentz force.
