Refraction of Light
8.0 Scattering of light
8.0 Scattering of light
As sunlight travels through the earth's atmosphere it get scattered by atomspheric particles.
Light of shorter wavelength is scattered much more than light of longer wavelength.
The amount of scattering is inversely proportional to the fourth power of the wavelength. This is know as rayleigh scattering.
