5.0 Projectile on an inclined plane

  Motion in Two Dimension

Students find projectile motion on an inclined plane difficult. But actually, it is same as the general projectile with some modification.

We define the coordinate axis for projectile on an inclined plane as below,

• $X-$ axis along the incline
• $Y-$ axis perpendicular to the incline

So, we resolve all the kinematics variable along $(X)$ and perpendicular $(Y)$ to the incline.

Projectile on an inclined plane is divided into two cases.

1. Up the incline
2. Down the incline
