The basic principle of electromagnetism can be formulated in terms of four fundamental equations known as Maxwell's equations.
Four Maxwell's equations are:
1. Gauss's law for electrostatics $$\oint {\overrightarrow E .\;d\overrightarrow s } = \frac{q}{{{\varepsilon _0}}}$$
2. Gauss's law for magnetism $$\oint {\overrightarrow B .\;d\overrightarrow s } = 0$$
3. Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction $$\oint {\overrightarrow E .\;d\overrightarrow l } = - \frac{{d{\phi _B}}}{{dt}}$$
4. Maxwell-Ampere's circuital law $$\oint {\overrightarrow B .\;d\overrightarrow l } = {\mu _0}\left[ {I + {\varepsilon _0}\frac{{d{\phi _E}}}{{dt}}} \right]$$
