4.3 Anti-parallel vectors

Two vectors $\overrightarrow A $ and $\overrightarrow B $ which are parallel to each other but in the opposite directions are known as anti-parallel vectors.

Mathematically,
$$\widehat A = - \widehat B$$
The magnitude of two anti-parallel vectors may or may not be equal.

If the two anti-parallel vectors have same magnitude, then they are called as negative of a vector.
