4.6 Zero or null vectors

The vector which has a zero magnitude is known as zero vector.

As we know that the length of an arrow is directly proportional to the magnitude of a vector. Since, the magnitude of zero vector is zero. So, the tail and arrow head coincides and the line becomes a point.


Note: The direction of zero vector is indeterminant or undefined because at least two points are needed to define a direction.
