The thin lens formula is given by, $$\frac{1}{v} - \frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f}$$
where,
$v$: Distance of image formation from the optical centre
$u$: Distance of object position from the optical centre
$f$: Focal length of the lens
Note:
$v$, $u$ and $f$ must be substituted with proper sign convention
